School Age
5 - 12 years
Little Sprouts of Idaho offers a safe, welcoming space for school-age children before and after school. Our classroom is set up to give children a variety of choices so they can relax, play, and unwind after a busy school day. Children may enjoy activities such as active play, reading, building with Legos, imaginative play with dolls, arts and crafts, puzzles, or board games with friends. There is also space for quiet time when children simply need a moment to recharge.
In the afternoon, we provide a healthy snack and spend time outdoors running, playing, and enjoying fresh air whenever the weather allows.
Please check with your child’s school to see if bus transportation is available to and from our childcare center. If bus service is not available, families will need to arrange transportation for their child to and from school.

Meals & Snacks
At Little Sprouts of Idaho, we enjoy meals together each day, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks served at consistent times. Our meals follow the USDA food program guidelines and are carefully planned to provide balanced, nourishing foods that support healthy growth and development.
If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know. We are happy to work together with families to ensure every child’s needs are safely and thoughtfully accommodated.
What to Bring
Each child will have a designated place to store their backpack before and after school. Children are welcome to bring the items they need for their school day; however, toys should remain in their backpacks during care time.
If you feel your child may need an extra change of clothes, we are happy to store one at the center. Please be sure it is labeled with your child’s full name so we can keep everything organized.
Daily Schedule
Children will have many opportunities to build social skills with their peers and teachers while learning to communicate, cooperate, and solve problems together. They will express their creativity through art, enjoy time outdoors, practice early reading and writing skills, and challenge their growing minds with puzzles, games, and hands-on manipulatives.
